Artist Statement

Word Cytology: The ideas for my paintings come from my interest in looking at words and cells as tools, structural units, and as expressive dynamo. I use the classical Greek language and combine it with a study on human cells. The classical Greek language can be seen as a building block from which many other languages are built from; including the language of the west English. In the same way, cells are also structural units; they are building blocks; the central units of all life.

building blocks

Cells are the building blocks of all living things. .just like a piece of Lego is used by the child architect. Words are also building blocks that we use to communicate.

Why are words created the way they are. .who initially said that a group of letters and words have meaning and are meant to say something?

In the landscape of buildings why are the bricks laid out in specific designs . .do they have meaning or just used for their structural function? Yes cells have structural function and many parts. What are the parts of society that are the foundation of its existence?
